What will you do?
As a Civil Engineer at Buro CITE, you are much more than just the person who develops designs, technical drawings, and specifications. You are a key player in the project: you think along, provide advice, and ensure everything is thoroughly prepared. You will work both independently and as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneously.
Your tasks include:
- Developing designs and drawings in the Preliminary Design, Final Design, and specification phases;
- Preparing and/or elaborating specifications;
- Coordinating and aligning with internal and external parties;
- Conducting on-site project surveys and verification measurements using GPS instruments;
- Consulting with clients and stakeholders on-site and via Teams;
- Reviewing and checking colleagues’ work before it is submitted to the client;
- Interpreting research results and translating them into a design;
- Using Office and Google products for project management.
We also offer opportunities to work temporarily at our office in Suriname for a few weeks and share knowledge there.
In short: a versatile role where you combine your technical expertise with communication and collaboration, both inside and outside the office.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed colleague who loves their profession, works accurately, and feels at home in a dynamic work environment with a lot of variety. You have a passion for design and civil engineering, and you enjoy using your knowledge to create solutions that truly make an impact.
In addition, you bring:
- A higher professional education (HBO) or equivalent work and thinking level (experienced MBO graduates are also welcome);
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Experience with drafting and preparing specifications;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- A proactive and independent work attitude, but also a true team player;
- A loyal mindset: you are looking for a long-term position;
- Proficiency with Office and Google products.
